Omega Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon ref 311.92.44.51.01.005 (2015) was inspired by the Apollo 8 mission the first human-crewed spaceflight to go to the Moon. The spacecraft orbited ten times during its mission making its crew the first to see the Moon’s dark side hence the watch’s all-black design set and nickname “Dark Side of the Moon.” Features include a black ceramic case with a matching ceramic bezel decorated with a black lacquered tachymeter scale a black ceramic dial and a black nylon strap secured by a ceramic clasp. The Moon Watch-style hands and indices are in black and feature black Super-LumiNova to capture the mystery and essence of the far side of the Moon.
