In 2017 the Omega Speedmaster celebrated 60 years on the market. As most prestigious watch companies do Omega commemorated this anniversary by releasing a special edition Seamaster reference. In a truly classy move Omega mirrored the design of the original model closely bridging the gap between old and new and creating an anniversary edition watch that evokes deep emotion and adoration from collectors. Similar to the original reference the case measures 38mm and boasts straighter lugs and a stainless steel Tachymeter with the same engravings as the inaugural model. The dial even resembles the original down to the addition of the same Omega logo and Speedmaster font. Inside the watch the movement has been upgraded to the brand’s newer calibre 1861 movement giving the wearer the best of both world’s when it comes to a preowned anniversary model.
