Rolex Datejust ref 178240 (2006 - 2007). With the increasing popularity among women to wear larger timepieces the mid-size reference 178240 is perfectly on trend.  Slightly larger than traditional women's Rolex dress watches the mid-size model provides a bold yet feminine fit.  The case and accompanying bracelet feature a high-polish and brushed finish creating a sleek style for all occasions.  Reinforced with a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal 904L stainless steel and Twinlock screw-down crown the case protects the calibre 2235 perpetual movement within for a lifetime of accurate timekeeping. Beneath the crystal lies a black dial topped with Roman numerals central sweeping hands a Rolex coronet at the 12 o'clock marker and an automatically changing date display at the 3 o'clock marker.

This Rolex watch is in overall great honest vintage condition. The case is strong with normal signs of wear; it is possibly unpolished and the bevels are still visible. The inside caseback is stamped "5512" which is not uncommon to find in 5513's. We often times see 5512 or 5513's with the mismatched caseback because Rolex would use whatever that had available at the time. The bezel ring has remained sharp and the black insert is in great condition with light wear. The pip has aged to a beautiful cream color. The dial is in overall great condition with light patina and the lume on the hour markers are a soft cream color matching the pip.
