The Omega Speedmaster is often called the “Moon Watch” because it was the first wristwatch on the Moon and has accompanied NASA astronauts on every lunar mission. It only makes sense that Omega would produce an edition of the iconic Speedy with a Moonphase indicator on the dial and that’s precisely what they did with the ref. 304.30.44.52.01.001 for sale here. This Omega has all the usual hallmarks of a classic Moon Watch including a black Tachymeter bezel chronograph side pushers and a tri-register dial layout. However instead of the round sub-dial usually displayed at the 6-hour marker there is a Moonphase indicator. Additionally the register at 9 o’clock features a calendar display.
