Rolex Daytona is the newest expression of the two-tone Rolex chronograph. Released in 2023 the next generation of Daytonas features the brand-new caliber 4131 Perpetual movement an upgrade from the first in-house Rolex chronograph caliber 4130 which had been in production . With the new movement comes fewer components and better reliability. However it still features the same Chronergy escapement paramagnetic blue Parachrom hairspring high-performance Paraflex shock absorbers and 72-hour power reserve. Additionally Rolex made a few notable upgrades to the dial thinning out the hour markers and sub-dial registers for an overall cleaner aesthetic. Each upgrade makes the already exceptional Daytona all that more collection-worthy.

Rolex Daytona. Rolex celebrated of the Daytona by completely overhauling the entire collection introducing us to a brand-new movement (caliber 4131) and making several seemingly small albeit important upgrades to the case bezel and dial. Most notable is the bezel which is now trimmed in Everose to match the case a move that will help protect the Cerachrom insert from getting damaged. Rolex also finessed many design elements on the dial to create a cleaner more classic aesthetic. The hands and hour markers are thinner as are the rings surrounding the sub-dials. Lastly while the newer movement still has a 72-hour power reserve it now sports Rolex's more efficient Chronergy escapement and has fewer components than the previous caliber 4130.

Rolex Daytona ref 126500 (2024) is the current expression of the famous stainless steel Rolex chronograph. Released in 2023 it replaced the ref. 116500 and introduced the collection to a brand-new movement and several subtle cosmetic changes. First is the bezel now trimmed in stainless steel to match the case. Rolex also made minor changes to the dial which features slightly slimmer hour markers and thinner rings surrounding the chronograph sub-dials. More notably Rolex has outfitted ref. 126500 with a brand new caliber 4131 which replaces the trailblazing caliber 4130 and uses fewer components. The result is a precision-driven motorsport watch that exudes modern elegance.
