Rolex Explorer II ref 216570 (2010) recently discontinued model revived the famous orange "Freccione" arrow hand when it debuted in 2011. The polarizing feature was a fixture on the inaugural model from the 1970s but disappeared when the 5-digit generation was released and replaced by a slimmer red hand tipped with a silver triangle. It also brought with it a larger 42mm case and a brand-new movement the caliber 3187. This model of the Rolex Explorer II watch has since been discontinued in favor of ref. 226570 which looks similar to the Rolex for sale here.
