As the story goes the famed director dove into the Mariana Trench in 2012 with a Rolex prototype strapped to his submersible. To celebrate the historic dive and Rolex's watchmaking prowess the brand released a special D-Blue edition of the deep saturation diver. The dial's blue gradient resembles how light travels through the water during dives.
