Rolex Air-King ref 116900 (2021) The classic aesthetic of the iconic pilot's watch is re-imagined with the contemporary ref. 116900. With a larger 40mm case and a sportier dial this model takes on an aesthetic that is more on par with a traditional sports watch rather than a dress reference. However the ref. 116900 still maintains several design cues from its dressier predecessors with a smooth bezel and a simple time-only movement. Many collectors will delight in the details of the dial which resembles the cockpit instruments developed by Rolex for the Bloodhound Super Sonic Car with similar Arabic hour markers filled with lume and a similar green and gold Rolex logo.
